The great success of Aalborg Airport has generated a need for more capacity.

With the expansion, the former 6 gates are increased to 11, and now the terminal has a total area of approximately 20,000 m2.

The existing terminal has been extended by respectively 12 and 6 new bays in each end of the building, and the architecture has been executed in correspondence with the architecture of the existing building.
